What this is

Therapists in Vaughan, done properly.

If you live in Thornhill, Concord, Maple, Woodbridge, or Kleinburg, you do not need to drive into Toronto for a registered therapist. Our clinicians are Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers, with graduate clinicians working under their supervision, and every one of them sees clients at the Vaughan office.

Appointments run into the evening Monday to Thursday and all day Sunday, so a session can fit after work or around school pick-up without a day off. The free 30-minute consultation is a phone call with our matching team, who then recommend one clinician rather than handing you a list.

You might be looking for this if
  • You want a therapist close to home in Vaughan rather than a downtown commute
  • Evenings or Sundays are the only times you can realistically attend
  • A child or teen needs support and you would rather they see someone nearby
  • You and your partner want couples counselling you can both reach after work
  • You would prefer sessions in Russian, Hebrew, Urdu, or Hindi
  • You are a first responder, a new parent, or recovering after a car accident
How we work

Our approach in three parts.

01

One office, every service

Individual therapy, couples and family counselling, child and teen therapy including art and play therapy, ADHD and autism support, postpartum care, and trauma work all happen at the Centre Street office. You are not sent to a different location for a different concern.

02

Matched after a real conversation

The consultation call is where we learn what is going on and what kind of person you would feel comfortable with. From there we suggest the clinician whose experience, style, language, and availability fit, and tell you when they can see you.

03

In person, online, or both

Many Vaughan clients start in the office and switch to secure video on a busy week. The same clinician, the same session, from your kitchen table in Woodbridge or an empty meeting room at work.

Good to know

Questions people ask us.

Is Trust Therapy actually in Vaughan?

Yes. The office is at 1118 Centre Street, Suite 205, in Thornhill, which is the eastern part of the City of Vaughan. The postal code is L4J 7R9. It is on the north side of Centre Street between Bathurst Street and Dufferin Street, with free parking on site.

How do I get there from Woodbridge, Maple, or Kleinburg?

From the west side of Vaughan, take Highway 7 or Rutherford Road east to Dufferin Street, then south to Centre Street and east a short distance. From Maple, Dufferin Street south runs straight to Centre Street. Parking is free, so there is no need to budget time for finding a spot.

Do you see children and teens at the Vaughan office?

Yes. Several clinicians work with children and adolescents, including through art and play therapy, which is why the office keeps art supplies within reach. Parents are involved as much as is useful for the child’s age.

What are your hours?

Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday 9 AM to 2 PM, and Sunday 9 AM to 9 PM. The office is closed on Saturdays. Online sessions follow the same hours.

Is this covered by insurance?

Most extended health plans cover psychotherapy delivered by a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker, and we issue a receipt after every session for you to submit. Coverage amounts and eligible designations vary by plan, so please confirm with your insurer before your first appointment.
