In your first session, we'll discuss your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy...
Individual counselling offers a collaborative relationship between therapist and client, where evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy are frequently used. Research has shown that the therapeutic alliance itself, the trust and rapport built between therapist and client, is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy.
Individual therapy can be tailored to each person’s needs. For some, this might mean learning specific coping strategies for anxiety or depression, while for others it could involve deeper exploration of identity, values, or self-esteem. Studies consistently demonstrate that clients who engage in therapy report improvements in emotional regulation, interpersonal functioning, and overall life satisfaction.

That’s completely normal, and it's okay to feel unsure about it! Our therapists make sure first-time clients feel comfortable to talk about themselves in a completely safe and confidential space.
You do not have to work that out alone. The free consultation exists so our coordinators can hear what you are dealing with and suggest a clinician whose experience, language and schedule fit. If the first match does not feel right, tell us and we will rematch you.
Most people start weekly or every two weeks, then space sessions out as things improve. You and your therapist decide the pace together, and you can pause or stop at any time.
Take the first step toward positive change. Our compassionate therapists are here to support you.
