Virtual therapy · AB

Online therapy in Alberta.

Ontario-registered therapists for Albertans who would rather not wait for a local opening: Calgary and Edmonton professionals after work, oil-patch and shift schedules on Sundays, and anyone who wants a therapist outside their own small town.

Serving Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray, and everywhere in between.

Virtual sessions are available to clients located in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, subject to each province's rules for the clinician's profession. Ask us which clinicians can see clients in your province.

Why we can see you in AB

Alberta does not currently restrict psychotherapy to a provincially regulated title, so our Ontario-registered therapists can see Alberta clients by secure video.

On your clock

Alberta runs two hours behind our Thornhill office, so our 9 PM Eastern evening appointments land at a comfortable 7 PM Mountain — and Sunday hours help too.

Paying for sessions here

Alberta Health Care does not pay for private psychotherapy. Extended health benefits usually do: our receipts list the clinician’s Ontario registration, which most national insurers accept for Alberta plan members. Check your plan’s wording before you start.

Seeing us from Alberta

What is different from here.

The two-hour time difference works in your favour: our last appointments of the day fall at 7 PM Mountain, and Sunday sessions give shift workers in Fort McMurray and the oil patch a weekend option. Alberta clients also tell us the Ontario connection suits them when they want distance from a small community.
